Board & Train

Immersive training with real-world results

Let me do the heavy lifting — then show you how to maintain the results.

Whether you’re working on behavior challenges, puppy struggles, or just trying to make life smoother at home and in public, this immersive program gives your dog the consistent practice and structure they need to make real progress.

This isn’t a bootcamp. It’s a thoughtful, reward-based approach where your dog learns in a home setting — with plenty of rest, enrichment, and real-world practice built in.

What to Expect

During your dog’s stay, they will:

  • Receive multiple training sessions per day. Training sessions are tailored to your individual dog and your goals.

  • Go on field trips, training excursions, playdates (if appropriate), and other adventures. These provide unique training opportunities and fun experiences for your dog.

You can expect to receive:

  • Photo, video, and written updates. We know how hard it is to be away from your dog. Frequent updates on their progress and what they’ve been up to will help!

  • A written training plan upon pickup. Your dog’s training plan will be refined throughout their stay and a final copy will be given to you. It will include recommendations and exercises to do when they go home.

  • Follow up lessons. For each week of stay, a complimentary hand-off lesson is included to teach you how to keep up with your dog’s training. Past that, you are welcome to schedule additional lessons with me either virtually or in person. Transition of skills is just as important as the initial learning!

Requirements for Boarding

Boarding dogs must be:

  • Up to date on vaccinations. DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella are required for stay. Canine influenza is highly recommended.

  • Comfortable crating without separation distress or anxiety. For safety, boarding dogs are crated when they are not being directly supervised. This ensures that they have adequate rest time between training and play, as well as keeps them safe and secure.

  • Human and dog neutral or social. Your dog does not need to enjoy the direct company of other dogs or strange people to fit in well in our home. However, the sight and sounds of other dogs is inevitable, and dogs who find this stressful may not be a good fit.

  • Able to complete an acclimation stay prior to their boarding dates. To ensure your dog is a good fit, we schedule a one-night acclimation stay for all new boarding dogs. This helps confirm your dog will be able to be successful in our setup. Successful acclimation stay costs can be put towards the deposit for your stay.
